Product Description

Incoloy 925 Round Bar – High-Strength Corrosion-Resistant Alloy for Demanding Environments

TSM Technology Incoloy 925 Round Bar is a high-strength nickel-iron-chromium alloy engineered for demanding oil & gas, marine, and chemical processing applications. Enhanced through precipitation hardening, this alloy delivers exceptional resistance to corrosion, sulfide stress cracking, and aggressive environments containing sulfuric and phosphoric acids. Compared with Incoloy 825, Incoloy 925 Round Bar offers significantly higher mechanical strength and durability, making it an ideal choice for downhole tubing components, marine shafts, fasteners, and other critical industrial applications operating under extreme pressure and corrosive conditions.

Product Standards

Our bars comply with:

  • ASTM B805 / ASME SB805
  • ASTM B446 / ASTM B168
  • NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 (for sour service)
  • DIN and JIS equivalent specifications

These certifications ensure you receive material fit for the world's most demanding applications.

Key Features of Incoloy 925 Round Bars

  • Stronger than Incoloy 825; it has almost twice as much yield power.
  • Strong Resistance to Corrosion: Can stand up to sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid, and sour gas (H2S).
  • Hardening over time: Heat treatment improves mechanical function without weakening the material.
  • Anti-pitting and crevice corrosion: It works great in places where seawater doesn't move.
  • Resistance to fatigue: Can handle cyclic loads in changing downhole situations
  • Can be welded: Works with both GTAW and GMAW methods

Applications

You can count on Incoloy 925 Round Bar to work well in:

1. Downhole Components

For mandrels, subsurface safety valves and packers in sour gas wells. It can handle hydrogen sulphide and high-pressure carbon dioxide, which keeps your processes from failing in a disastrous way.

2. Marine Engineering

Ideal for naval gear, propeller shafts, and high-strength fasteners. It does better than many duplex steels at preventing pitting and crevice rust in saltwater that doesn't move.

3. Chemical Processing

Its mechanical durability and chemical neutrality make it excellent for pump shafts, valves, and fittings that handle high-temperature phosphoric or sulphuric acid mixtures.

Production and Processing Technology

We use cutting-edge production methods at TSM Technology to make precision-engineered goods:

  • Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM): Makes sure the mass is pure and uniform.
  • Hot and cold rolling: Gets exact control over dimensions
  • Solution Annealing and Age Hardening: Makes the metal stronger and more resistant to rust
  • Precision milling: makes parts with tight specs (h9, h10, h11) that are easy to fit into your systems.
  • Depending on your needs, the surface can be polished, ground, or peeled.

What Is the Production Process?

  • Choice of Raw Materials: Obtained from reputable, high-purity sources
  • For melting and casting, you can use VIM or electroslag remelting (ESR).
  • Hot forging is the first stage that happens at a fixed temperature.
  • Rolling and drawing: getting the thickness and shape you want
  • Solution annealing at 980–1010°C and ageing at 720°C are the heat treatments.
  • Machining and Finishing: Cutting, grinding, and finishing with great accuracy
  • Tests and Inspections: Full tracking with material test records (MTRs)
  • Wrapping and Shipping: Safe world shipping with protected wrapping

Production Process

Quality Inspection

We care most about your safety and efficiency standards. Each bar goes through:

  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT) according to ASTM A388 to find flaws inside the product
  • XRF or OES for Positive Material Identification (PMI)
  • Mechanical Tests: Checking the toughness, tensile strength, and yield strength
  • Testing for Intergranular Corrosion (ASTM G28)
  • Dimensional verification: making sure the accuracy is within certain limits

We give full proof, including Quality Assurance Certificates (QAC), Mill Test Certificates (MTC), and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).

FAQ

Q1: How is Incoloy 925 different from 825?

A: Age-hardenable 925 is approximately twice as strong as solid-solution alloy 825 and has the same corrosion resistance.

Q2: Does Incoloy 925 meet NACE MR0175?

A: Yes, if processed and heat-treated to meet sour service hardness requirements.

Q3: Best machining strategy?

A: Its high work-hardening rate necessitates tight setups, high-quality carbide tools, and steady feed rates to prevent glazing.

Q4: Welding Incoloy 925?

A: GTAW or GMAW using ERNiFeCr-1 filler metal may weld it. Mechanical qualities frequently need post-weld heat treatment (PWHT).

Q5: Maximum service temperature?

A: It is usually utilised up to 1000°F (540°C), when phase stability and creep qualities may suffer.

Q6: Do you document material traceability?

A: Yes. MTCs, QACs, and EN10204.3.1 traceability are available.
