TSM Technology produces high quality Alloy 400 Pipe (UNS N04400) in 3 plants on 8 dedicated manufacturing lines and more than 100 CNC machines. Our product is made up of 67% nickel and 23% copper which makes it very resistant to stress corrosion cracking in chloride and hydrofluoric acid conditions. We provide seamless pipes to ASTM B165, ASME SB165 and EN 10095 specifications with diameters from 6.0–324 mm OD, 0.5–30 mm wall thickness, up to 12,000 mm length. Each lot is supported by MTC and SGS test reports for complete traceability in aerospace, marine and petrochemical applications.
The product is a nickel-copper solid-solution alloy (UNS N04400 / W.Nr. 2.4360) for use under exceptional corrosion resistance. It does the job where stainless steels don't: in reducing acids, high velocity saltwater and alkali solutions. The alloy maintains its integrity across the cryogenic temperature range to 538°C (1000°F) and resists chloride pitting and stress corrosion cracking.
Its unusual metallurgy combines the alkaline resistance of nickel with the acid resistance of copper and makes it perfect for chemical processing, marine desalination and oil refining systems.

Our Alloy 400 Pipe complies with:
· ASTM B165: Seamless pipes for high-pressure applications
· ASME SB165: Boiler and pressure vessel code
· EN 10095: European alloy seamless tubes
· ASTM B725: Welded pipes for larger diameters
Each standard ensures dimensional accuracy, pressure integrity, and corrosion performance verified through hydrostatic testing and ultrasonic inspection.
Excellent corrosion resistance: Resistant to hydrofluoric acid and sulfuric acid and alkaline circumstances in which stainless steels corrode rapidly.
High Velocity Seawater: Suitable for marine splash zones, heat exchangers and desalination facilities with flow velocities over 3 m/s.
Cryogenic to High Temperature Toughness. Toughness from -196°C to 538°C with no creep or brittleness.
Non-Magnetic Properties: Low magnetic permeability for sensitive sensors and electromagnetic equipment.
Excellent fabricability, readily weldable with ERNiCu-7 filler, no hot cracking, great formability for complex forms.
Marine Engineering
Resist saltwater corrosion in shipbuilding and offshore platform piping.
Aerospace Systems
Ideal for hydraulic lines, engine components, and exhaust assemblies requiring fatigue resistance.
Chemical Processing
Handle hydrofluoric acid and sulfuric acid recovery units safely.
Desalination Plants
Evaporator tubes for converting seawater to freshwater.
TSM Technology’s 60,000㎡ integrated manufacturing factory:
Melting Vacuum induction melting (VIM) is used to provide nickel-copper uniformity and low impurity concentration.
Hot Working: Rotary piercing and precision extrusion are used to manufacture seamless tube of uniform wall thickness.
Cold Drawing Multi-pass drawing with close tolerances (±0.05 mm) and fine surface finish (Ra < 0.8 μm).
Heat Treatment: Stress relieving anneal at 870°C for best corrosion resistance & mechanical properties.
Finish: CNC machining, sandblasting and anodizing to the client’s specified surface specifications.
We have more than 100 precision machines, including high-tech hollow drill presses, pilgering mills and bright-annealing furnaces, so we can manufacture in batch and provide artisan-level quality control.

When adhering to the nickel alloy pipe testing standards:
Chemical Analysis: Composition confirmed to UNS N04400 limits by ICP and GDMS.
Mechanical Testing: Tensile, yield, elongation, flattening and flaring ASTM B165.
Non Destructive Testing: Internal defects >0.5 mm may be detected by ultrasonic (UT) and eddy-current (ET).
Pressure Testing Hydrostatic test at 1.5× design pressure for leak integrity.
Dimensional Inspection: OD/WT tolerances checked to ±1% using laser micrometers.
Surface Inspection: Visual inspection and dye penetrant test (PT) to remove surface imperfection.
Each pipe is serialized individually for total traceability from source material to final delivery.

Q1: Does the product withstand stagnant seawater?
A: It is quite resistant to moving seawater but in stagnant sea water it may suffer local pitting. For maximum longevity continuous flow is advised.
Q2: What filler metal should be used to weld the product?
A: The weld zone is protected against corrosion by ERNiCu-7 or ENiCu-7 filler metals. No preheat or post weld heat treatment is often required.
Q3: Can the product be used with oxidizing acids such as nitric acid?
A: No, the product is for decreasing conditions. Rapidly corrodes in oxidizing acids. Use Alloy 625 or Alloy C-276 instead.
Q4: How is its magnetism affected by temperature?
A: The product is mildly magnetic at room temperature, since its Curie point is close to ambient temperature. Magnetism varies with composition within UNS N04400 standards
Q5: What is the difference between ASTM B165 and ASTM B725?
A. ASTM B165 covers seamless pipe for high pressure or critical service. ASTM B725 covers welded pipe for lower pressure or bigger diameters.
Q6: Are there any material certifications?
A: Yes. Each order is with MTC (Mill Test Certificate), SGS third party reports and EN 10204 3.1 certifications with complete chemical and mechanical test data
