How Are Nickel Alloy Flat Bars Manufactured?

The production of nickel alloy flat bars requires precise manufacturing control to ensure stable performance and dimensional accuracy.

The typical manufacturing process includes:

1. Raw Material Preparation

High-quality nickel alloy materials are selected according to chemical composition requirements.

2. Hot Forging and Rolling

The alloy material is processed through forging and rolling operations to achieve the required shape and mechanical properties.

3. Heat Treatment

Controlled heat treatment improves strength, corrosion resistance, and structural stability.

4. Surface Finishing

Nickel alloy flat bars can be processed with different surface finishes according to customer requirements.

Straightness Tolerance for Titanium Square and Rectangular Bars

Straightness is an important dimensional requirement for titanium square bars and rectangular bars used in CNC machining, automatic bar feeders, and precision manufacturing equipment.

For titanium rectangular bars with dimensions of 20 ±0.3 mm × 8 ±0.3 mm and a length of 2000 mm (-0/+5 mm), TSM can currently control straightness within approximately 5–7 mm per meter, depending on the titanium grade, bar dimensions, manufacturing process, and final straightening requirements.

For a 2000 mm bar, the total deviation should be evaluated based on the agreed inspection method and the customer’s application requirements. Straightness performance may also be affected by residual stress, machining conditions, and handling during transportation.

For applications involving CNC automatic bar feeders, we recommend confirming the required straightness tolerance before production. TSM can provide sample bars for machining and feeding tests and can evaluate tighter straightness requirements for customized projects.

Custom Straightness Control

To support different machining and automated feeding applications, TSM can provide:

  • Standard straightness control based on production capability
  • Customized straightening according to customer requirements
  • Sample bars for CNC machining or automatic feeder testing
  • Dimensional inspection before shipment
  • Material Test Certificates (MTC) and inspection reports upon request

Please provide the titanium grade, bar dimensions, length, straightness requirement, and intended application so that our technical team can evaluate the appropriate manufacturing and inspection solution.
